Good morning, Chargers fans!

It is everyone’s expectation that the Chargers offense will be explosive under Mike McDaniel. Over the last four seasons in Miami, at least two players recorded 880+ receiving yards apiece. That’s a wild stat and something the Chargers did zero times during the same span.

Visit afsport.lat for more information.

The two wideouts expected to benefit the most from McDaniels’ system are Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston due to their complementary skillsets. And for fun, I peaked at where both players sit in franchise history for career receiving yards and it turns out they are legitimately right next to each other. McConkey is 33rd with 1,938 yards while Johnston is 34th with 1,877.

If both of them record at least 813 yards (specifically the total Johnston needs), they’d each end the 2026 season inside the top 20 right in front of receiver Curtis Gonway. The jump from 20th to 18th is roughly 750 yards so it’d take a massive season for either to advance much farther, but it would nonetheless set the two up for another big push up the team annals in 2027.

And now for today’s links.
