Nashik: Congress Holds ‘Jan Aakrosh Andolan’ Against Rising Fuel Prices

· Free Press Journal

Nashik: The Nashik City and District Congress Committee staged a “Jan Aakrosh Andolan” (Public Outcry Protest) near the R.J. Mehta Holy Cross petrol pump in Nashik against the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and LPG cylinders. The agitation was led by City Congress President Nilesh (Bablu) Khaire, North Division District President Ramesh Kahandole, and South Division President Bharat Takekar.

During the protest, Congress workers raised aggressive slogans such as “Petrol-Diesel price hike must be rolled back,” “Narendra… Surrender…,” and “Farm produce must get guaranteed prices,” echoing strong opposition to the Central Government’s policies. Protesters also shouted slogans demanding a change in government, alleging that the administration had failed the common people.

The protest was organised to demand the rollback of repeated fuel price hikes imposed by the Central Government and to provide relief to ordinary citizens. A memorandum regarding the issue was also submitted to the District Collector.

Week 1 Official Visit Preview

· Yahoo Sports

The Husky coaching staff is set to host their first official visitors of the summer period and it is the first of four possible weekends before the official visit window is closed until the start of the season. Historically this has been one of the most popular weekends for the Husky staff to bring in top talent to visit. Each of the past two years they have brought an uncommitted 5-star prospect in to visit and although they didn’t land either of them they have landed at least one 4-star prospect both years. While the 5-star streak may end the staff managed to surprise a lot of people with adding one last minute last year. With that said, there are currently 8 confirmed visitors expected to visit Montlake.

Commits: 5

Visit biznow.biz for more information.

QB Blake Roskopf- The talented gun slinger with a cannon for an arm committed to the Huskies 4/7 and is the highest rated commit in the class so far.

RB Jeremy Adeyanju- A downhill 4-star rusher the staff landed over USC 3/15 and is working hard to graduate early to join the Huskies in January.

WR Zerek Sidney- The third 4-star commit from the Grand Canyon State, but he was the first of the three to make his pledge 1/29 and helped recruit his QB to the Dawgs.

LB Titus Osterman- The coaches were all in on Osterman after seeing him live in their camp last summer. Coach Odom knew he had to get him in the boat and was able to do so 1/31.

Tevita Nonu- The most recent commit and one of the most impactful of the class, the talented local DL prospect committed 5/19.

Uncommitted: 3

WR Dontay Tyson- It is no coincidence that the coaches are bringing in their three committed prospects from Arizona the same weekend as Tyson. They are likely going to put on quite the full court press with the coaches and the commits at the same time to get him on board. He is scheduled to visit his other top school, Texas A&M, before his decision. Even with A&M getting the final visit we like the chances of UW reeling in Tyson.

Edge Chaz Gray- One of the last official visitors to be scheduled, the coaches have been after Gray for a while now. He currently has officials set to UW, Clemson, and Tennessee and Nebraska could get added to the schedule as well. Even with Fisch’s NJ roots, it is always tough to get high end players from the opposite side of the country. Yes, they landed QB Derek Zammit in last year’s class, but can lightning strike twice? Clemson is his leader at this point.

CB Kamil Loud- The talented CB from powerhouse Bishop Gorman has been a prospect that the coaches have liked for quite a while and were quick to get him scheduled for an OV. The main competition for him is Arizona and Utah with the public opinion thinking that that Utes lead. With only one CB committed and being the only DB on campus this weekend that coach Richardson is going to give him a lot of attention.

Unconfirmed: 1

S Jeovanni Henley- There is conflicting information out there if Henley is visiting this weekend or not. He does have an OV scheduled with the Huskies, but we will see if he takes it this weekend or 6/19.

Rescheduled: 3

CB Evan Mack- Mack was thought to be visiting this weekend, but it appears he needed to do some shuffling and will be taking his official visit to Montlake next weekend.

DL Matamatagi Uiagalelei- The Husky commit was going to be on campus this weekend, but like Mack he will visit next weekend instead.

Edge Jag Ioane- This has not been validated, but it appears to be the third prospect supposed to visit this weekend, but will visit next weekend instead.

Cancelled: 3

RB Elijah Kimble- The Huskies scheduled Kimble to take an OV this weekend, but Adeyanju is already committed and they are likely only take one RB in this class.

S Gavin Williams- Williams was supposed to take an OV to Seattle this weekend, but made a commitment to USC earlier in the month and cancelled all his other scheduled trips.

CB Jailen Hill- Technically Hill did reschedule his OV from this weekend to June 19, which looks good on paper since it is the final weekend in the summer OV window, but given that he is announcing his commitment June 9 and Nebraska has a large lead for him it seems highly unlikely he will visit Montlake.

I’ll take a stab and shoot my shot with predictions for our uncommitted visitors. The percentages I have listed below are what I think the current odds are that UW will land them and where we stand with them going into their trip. One would expect that number to go up after a successful trip, but recruiting has a way of always managing to surprise us.

WR Dontay Tyson: 65%

Edge Chaz Gray: 20%

CB Kamil Loud: 35%
