The South Carolina Gamecocks advanced to the National Championship Game after beating the UConn Huskies 62-48 on Friday night. But the way Dawn Staley's team pulled away in the final six minutes was overshadowed by a tense exchange prompted by UConn coach Geno Auriemma.

As the two coaches started to shake hands, Auriemma called out Staley for her team's aggressive play. The two had words for each other before they were separated by their assistants.

New video of the incident shows Staley upset at Auriemma, saying, "I will beat Geno's a--" over and over.

This stemmed from the legendary coach being upset about calls by the refs and Sarah Strong's jersey getting ripped. Auriemma was frustrated going into the fourth quarter during his interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe.

"There were six fouls called in that quarter, all of them against us," Auriemma said. "And they've been beating the s— out of our guys down there the entire game. And I'm not making excuses because we haven't been able to make a shot. But this is ridiculous."

Auriemma was asked about the exchange during the post-game press conference. However, he wouldn't elaborate on what was said to Staley. "Nothing. I said what I needed to say. Nothing."

The two coaches have been friendly towards each other and this is unlike either of them to step out-of-line. UConn goes home while South Carolina advances to face the winner of Texas-UCLA on Sunday night in Phoenix.
