Formula 1 returns this weekend with action from the British Grand Prix. A sprint weekend at Silverstone provides plentiful opportunity for upsets with Lewis Hamilton seeking to ignite a title challenge against the dominant Mercedes duo of Kimi Antonelli and George Russell.

Hamilton’s victory in Barcelona, his first driving for Ferrari, gave some hope that the 41-year-old could mount a charge to close the gap on championship leader Antonelli but it was Russell who performed strongest in Austria and claimed his second grand prix win of the season to close the gap on his teammate.
However, it was Antonelli who impressed on Saturday at Silverstone. First he reined in Hamilton during the sprint race to secure a maiden sprint victory and extend his lead at the top of the championship to 43 points, then he claimed pole position ahead of the Ferrari duo of Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
Russell’s P4 puts him on the second row alongside his former Mercedes teammate and he will need to find more pace if he is to finish at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.
