MONROE — West Monroe stormed back from a 14-3 halftime deficit in one of its biggest victories of the season.

The Rebels improved to 3-1 in 2026 after defeated reigning Division I nonselect quarterfinalist Central-B.R. 42-36. West Monroe coach DeMichael Dizer commended his players and coaches for handling adversity well and sticking together.

Junior Tre King and senior Jordan Coleman were standouts in West Monroe's offense while senior Quinton Carter had a momentum-swinging interception to set up senior Luke Vallery's game-winning touchdown.

"Q had gotten beat in the first overtime on a fade route, and we told him, 'Just make your adjustment and bail so you can go out and play the ball versus trying to play the eyes and hands of the receiver,'" Dizer said. "(His pick didn't) seal (the game) but gave us a really good opportunity and chance to win that football game."

Neville picks up massive victory against Alexandria

The opponent West Monroe faces next week also had a crucial Week 4 win. The Tigers (3-1) defeated the reigning D-I select quarterfinalist Trojans 38-27 behind junior Jarvis Blackston's 290 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Neville's defense has forced a takeaway in every game so far as junior Denim Nelson recorded a pick-six against ASH.

Tigers coach Mike Collins said Blackston had one of the best games of his career Friday at Mickey McCarty Field.

"He did a really good job of blocking as well when his job was called upon to do that," Collins said. "Proud of him for his effort. As the game goes, he just seems to get better and better every time we play... None of (the success) could happen without the offensive line and their ability to be able to create the holes for him and the receivers blocking as well down the field."

Franklin Parish rallies at Airline behind LSU commit

One of the top performances in Louisiana Week 4 came from Patriots senior Trey Martin. The talented 6-foot-1 running back totaled 277 yards and six touchdowns (five rushing) as Franklin Parish completed the comeback at Airline, 54-43.

"That game is one of those games where I felt like it was a long time coming (for Martin)," Franklin Parish coach Adrian Burnette said. "He's been consistently putting up good numbers and playing tough and hard. (Friday night), he played even better. We needed him toward the end, and he put the team on his shoulders and carried us to victory. I greatly appreciate him for it."

The Patriots (3-1) have more impact players on their team, including sophomore quarterback Chad Allen and seniors Kaiden Seals and Connor Linder. Junior DJ Neal, who made plays on both sides of the ball against Airline, and Martin complement each other well in the ground game.

"I think that's probably the best 1-2 punch in the state of Louisiana," Burnette said. "For DJ to go over there to defense and help us out, we just figured he was too good of a talent and too good of an athlete to be on the sideline. He made some big tackles and a key interception at the end. He's another big-time player we've got at Franklin Parish."

Ruston 63, Catholic-B.R. 28: Without junior Dalen Powell, the Bearcats (3-1) dominated at home against the reigning D-I select semifinalist Bears. Senior Sam Hartwell totaled 472 yards and six touchdowns; seniors Ahmad Hudson (166 receiving yards), Josiah Morgan and KeShun Malcolm all had touchdown receptions.

Wossman 22, Richwood 20: The Wildcat defense once again made key defensive stops in their victory against the Rams (2-2). Junior Jaterrance Long stepped up under center and found the endzone for Wossman (2-2).

West Ouachita 40, St. Frederick 0: The Chiefs (1-3) have their first victory of the year as junior Kaleb Carprue rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

Mangham 60, Bastrop 22: Senior Cade Poland remains an X-factor for Mangham (3-1) with nine tackles and two picks against the Rams (2-2)

Cedar Creek 26, Rayville 14: Senior Brett Bell totaled three touchdowns as the Cougars remain undefeated this fall. Sophomore Payton Harris rushed for his 11th touchdown of the season against Rayville (1-3).

Jonesboro-Hodge 42, Lincoln Prep 20: Sophomore King Campbell continues to step up at quarterback for the Tigers (3-1) after totaling 223 yards, four touchdowns and a pair of two-point conversions against the Panthers (2-2). Lincoln Prep junior Jabari Levingston had 290 total yards and three touchdowns.

Jena 52, Winnfield 6: The Giants (3-1) responded well following a loss at Westgate with a dominant victory against the previously undefeated Tigers (3-1).

Beekman Charter 40, Magnolia 6: Junior Elaythan Armstrong rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns in the first quarter as the Tigers improve to 3-1 on the season.

Caldwell 55, Delhi Charter 14: The Spartans (3-1) once again exploded in the second quarter at home against the 0-4 Gators.

General Trass 46, Madison 0: The Panthers (1-3) snapped a four-game skid dating back to last season with their victory against the winless Jaguars.

Assumption 16, Carroll 6: The Bulldogs dropped a tough one on the road as they are now 2-2 in 2026.
