Dodgers Predicted to Move off Outfielder

The 2026 Major League Baseball Trade Deadline is just one week away. On Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. ET, teams will no longer be able to enter into trades with one another for the rest of the season.

That means the clock is ticking for contenders to decide what they will do in order to bolster their team, and clubs that have more of a grim outlook for the rest of the season must choose whether or not some contracts need to be dealt to acquire more controllable talent.

Atop the list of contenders are the Los Angeles Dodgers, who, at the time of writing, are 67-39 and maintain a half-game advantage over the Milwaukee Brewers for the best record in baseball. The Dodgers already have a lot of star power, but their goal might require additional help.

Los Angeles has the once-in-a-lifetime chance to three-peat as World Series champions, which would make it the first organization since the 1998-00 New York Yankees to do so. If the Dodgers accomplish it, they would join the Yankees and the Athletics as the only organizations in MLB to accomplish such a feat.

So, if the Dodgers are going to use the Deadline to get even better, they are going to have to make a sacrifice, and that might mean losing outfielder Ryan Ward to another team.

Why might Ward be gone?

Recently, The Athletic's MLB Staff made predictions for all 30 MLB clubs concerning which players from each organization might find themself in a new uniform following the Deadline. For the Dodgers, Ward was named.

The Athletic reasons that because the Dodgers listened to offers on Ward earlier in the season, he will likely be available now. On top of having a lot of stars, the Dodgers also produce a very strong farm system with high-level prospects.

Therefore, Los Angeles can afford to move someone like Ward to get another player who is immediately ready to contribute to the 40-man roster. The good news for teams that might be interested in Ward’s services is that he can contribute at the major-league level, too.

Ward, 28, made his MLB debut on April 19 and has appeared in 20 games for the Dodgers. He was one of the young players to step into a big role for Los Angeles, and while his numbers weren’t jumping off the stat sheet, he proved he can hang around. 

In his 20 appearances, Ward logged a .218 batting average, a .283 on-base percentage, a .455 slugging percentage and a .738 OPS. Again, not the best numbers, but his OPS is above league average.

The Athletic's MLB Staff praises Ward for his consistency in Triple-A, where he has slashed .254/.362/.440 with an .802 OPS in 65 games. Therefore, he can be a solid bargaining chip for the Dodgers.

Tyrese Haliburton’s Puma Hali 1 are inspired by Zac Efron’s High School Musical

Before the start of the new season, Haliburton has already made his fans happy by marrying Jade Jones after dating for seven years.

Haliburton has now unveiled his first-ever signature shoes with Puma and he was clearly inspired by his sweet love story with Jones.

The sneakers will be called Puma Hali 1 ‘Troy Bolton’ PE as they are clearly inspired from Zac Efron’s High School Musical.

Considering this was the first movie that the couple ever watched together, it’ll always hold a special place in the hearts of the Haliburtons.

As of now, the new signature shoe does not have an official release date, but fans can expect the Pacers star to don them during the regular season.

Ujjain Seer Accused Of Rape, Claims Honey Trap And Blackmail; Police Probe Underway

UJJAIN (Madhya Pradesh): A woman has accused Swami Gyandas of Daduram Ashram on Sadawal Road of rape and submitted a complaint to the superintendent of police (SP), seeking action against him.

The seer has denied the allegation, claiming the episode is a case of honey trapping and blackmail. Mahakal police are investigating both complaints.

According to Gyandas, he first came into contact with the woman through social media. He said she frequently visited the ashram with a man identified as her brother, Manish Rathore, and claimed they were working for the cause of Sanatan Dharma.

Their conversations later continued over WhatsApp calls, during which she allegedly sought financial assistance.

Gyandas claimed the woman told him she owned substantial agricultural land and invited him on a trip to Uttarakhand, assuring him she would bear all expenses.

After returning, she allegedly informed him that her crops had failed and promised to repay the money later before seeking further financial help.

The seer further alleged that the woman and Manish Rathore later invited him to their home for a meal. After eating, he claimed he lost consciousness and that obscene photographs were taken with him, which were later used to blackmail him.

Gyandas stated that on May 05, 2026, a marriage ceremony was performed at a temple in the presence of a Brahmin priest and five witnesses.

He maintained that he never had physical relations with the woman while in a conscious state. A few days later, he alleged, she claimed to be his wife and demanded Rs 25 lakh as her share to settle the matter.

He also alleged that on July 7, while he was undergoing medical treatment, she demanded that he transfer property in her name.

According to him, she forcibly entered his vehicle, while her alleged partner assaulted and threatened him, saying they would make him "like Raja Raghuvanshi" if he failed to pay. He also alleged they tried to intimidate him by showing a pregnancy report.

Attempts to contact the complainant were unsuccessful. A family member said she was unwell and unable to speak, while alleging that Mahakal police were siding with the seer.

The relative said her statement would be recorded before senior police officers. SI Neha Singh, who is investigating the matter, said the woman had been called to record her statement but did not appear.

Gyandas also appeared before police and submitted documents related to the alleged marriage and financial transactions. Police said further action would be taken only after statements from both sides are recorded.
